Restoring Health & Function
When a tooth becomes broken down or is lost due to disease, trauma, or poor bite, restorative dentistry techniques and materials are designed to rebuild and replace natural tooth structure. Restorative services offered in our Alpharetta family dental practice include:
Cerec® One-Visit Crowns, Inlays & Onlays
Cerec® 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology offers us the ability to create and deliver natural-looking ceramic and milled composite restorations in the comfort of our office in a single appointment. Read more about Cerec® Dentistry
Tooth Replacement with Dental Implants
Dental implants have been in use for nearly half a century for replacement of missing teeth. These tiny surgical cylinders function as an artificial tooth root, and may be used as an anchor for a dental crown or bridge, or to secure a denture. Once restored, dental implants look and feel like natural teeth. Our dentist will collaborate with Periodontists and Oral Surgeons that specialize in implant surgery to plan and complete your dental implant restoration. Following placement by the specialist, Dr. O'Donnell will restore the implant with an esthetic crown, bridge or denture.
Supportive Therapies
Preventing and treating tooth decay is an important part of your dental health; caring for the supportive tissue and bone is equally important to your overall oral wellness. In cases where disease or infection are present, it may be necessary to apply a therapeutic treatment, such as a root canal or laser periodontal therapy, to return your smile to a healthy condition. Natural-looking tooth colored fillings and esthetic porcelain shades offer a number of options to enhance your smile appearance as well as rebuild strength in your teeth and bite.
